The presentation will review the e state planning issues given the current uncertainty in federal estate tax l aws. The current federal estate tax exemption is set to decrease substantia lly in 2026. Additionally, there are rumors of new legislation being passed to drastically change the estate tax exemption in particular or even upend the entire estate tax structure as we know it. We will review the impact o f the current law sunsetting in 2026, the various rumored changes, and the corresponding estate planning opportunities and pitfalls.

est Estate Planning Associate. With a JD from Texas Tech and an LL.M (a Mas
ters in Law) in Taxation from University of Washington, Sara is the team’s
secret weapon in all things “tax-related”. She uses her decade of estate pl
anning expertise—and her special focus on tax planning for clients, whether
it is income, gift, or estate related. Born with a true gift of southern c
harm, Sara has a natural talent of instantly connecting with people. Both p
ersonally and professionally, building great relationships has always been
the cornerstone of her success. Whether she’s helping clients plan for thei
